1 Year Anniversary Party Reflection

Elevate H.E.R. Worth’s 1-Year Anniversary Celebration was a hit! We had a time at Denizen’s Brewing Company in Riverdale Park, Maryland amplifying women-owned businesses. Here’s a recap of the event and what we’ve learned after a year of creating women’s networking events.
The Right Women Will Show Up
Just like our last three events we recognize that the Elevate H.E.R. Worth brand attracts aligned women who want to grow themselves and their network. The type of business each woman represents isn’t as important as her journey to get to where she is today and where she’s going tomorrow.
At our anniversary we celebrated a variety of businesses from a book launch to marketing and event planning- every business was uplifted. Having diversity in the types of women and businesses that come to Elevate H.E.R. Worth events is an integral part of the experience.
Circle Time- Connect & Reflect
At every event we’ve found ourselves in circle, why? Circle time helps break barriers and give everyone at the event a chance to see each other and connect.
Since some folks find it difficult to introduce themselves or speak in front of others week keep circle time a no-pressure situation. You can share what you want to share and we’ll be here to listen and support.
At our one-year anniversary Ashley developed prompts for each person to share something interesting about themselves during circle time. This allowed each person to introduce themselves however they wanted while focusing on sharing a tidbit of deeper information in a low-stakes environment.
What we found is that women love circle time and even people who don’t normally like networking shared and found their voices during circle time.

Small Events: Big Impact
While some large events and conferences can be helpful to grow your business, in reality it’s hard to navigate. Sometimes after attending a big conference that costs lots of money you wonder what you got out of it.
Elevate H.E.R. Worth events are purposefully small and unique. You’ll never get the same experience twice when you come to our events. That means you want to get in early and get ready for the experience.
Since our events are small we foster relationships not just business card exchange opportunities. At our anniversary we saw a few business owners returning from our previous events and immediately hug women they met or recognized from a past event.
It’s so rewarding to see new and old connections being fostered in a supportive environment. Over the past year the biggest impact the Elevate H.E.R. Worth experiences have made is helping women find their voice to share their business and personal goals out loud.
We’ll continue to create experiences for women in different ways and different locations in the future. Some may be small and even micro-events that help lower barriers and give every woman time to shine.
Embracing the Holistic Energy Reset- 1 Year Later
One thing we could never have expected was Ashley and I getting better at creating tailored experiences for our audience. We’ve gone through iterations of messages, built a brand, and launched a website and social media channels.
Throughout the year we grew as business owners, friends, and co-creators. We have learned to lean on each other’s strengths, follow our intuition, and explore new territory. The year has been full of surprises, learning experiences, and deeper connections with business women in the DMV area.
The Future of Elevate H.E.R. Worth
As we continue to evolve this network of amazing business women we’ll continue to host events in the Washington, D.C metro area. Our intent is to hone our formula for experiences and bring them to more communities and women across the U.S.
